Brian Carlson is a well versed photographer with many years of experience in portraiture, editorial, advertising, lifestyle and documentary. He's photographed for big brands like Humana, CVS, Psychology Today, and The Wall Street Journal. With a heart for helping others and telling their stories, he is passionate about working with mission focused organizations like the POLIS Institute and The Kids House. Earlier this year he became a partner in a multimedia company (film & photography) in Eastern Africa.


Beyond capturing life through individual images, Brian has expanded his love for people and storytelling by leveraging the power of short film and video. His first documentary short film, Mr. Gold, went viral and earned a selection at the Brooklyn Film Festival, Florida Film Festival, Little Rock Film Festival, Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival and the Love Your Shorts Film Festival. It was also featured on The Atlantic and selected to be a Vimeo Staff Pick.


Brian is originally from Orlando and studied photography, both film and digital, at the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies in Daytona Beach. He and his wife Melanie have a baby boy named Harrison. On the Myers-Briggs personality profile, Brian is an ENFP.
